2013 A Magical Christmas.......

'Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas......'
ooh I love that song.  Hummed it every time I was in the kitchen baking or doing other stuff.
So how was your Christmas? Did Santa pay your little one's a visit? I just love the look on kids faces when they discover presents left under the tree. That was what my cake was going to be :)

This year fortunately we had a lovely Christmas cake...Thank you Baby Jesus... and my kids loved helping decorate it. The whole concept was Christmas at home. I included my  little children by making 2 little sugarpaste figures of them ( for which they loved me!) The scene is supposed to be Santa leaving presents and hurriedly dashing up the fireplace just in time to be noticed by two young children <3
It was the night before Christmas and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
But two little children who weren't so fast asleep,
Heard a jingling noise and went downstairs to peep.
Their eyes wide and mouths agape,
'Thank you Santa', they whispered, to the red round shape <3

Something new!

It's November! Not long for Christmas now...Bet you're excited as much as I am! lol!
Ok...So I made a few different cakes during the last weeks... a couple of tiered cakes, designer shoes and handbag toppers and played a bit with melted choc and seriously I thought tiered cakes were difficult...turns out they aren't. Especially if you have good friends to guide you.

This one was made for my mum. I wanted something really special for her...something really elegant
and what better than a tiered cake with cascading roses in delicate pink.
I was extremely happy with this cake especially the edges :D

Under the sea..... love humming that tune... This one was a proper eye catcher with the bright colours.
The little princess surely was happy celebrating her 6th B'day with a big cake

Who loves designer handbags and shoes?! I do!! We all do !! lol! My first attempt at these... I did well didn't I?

Oh I love these fresh berries cakes...They're sooo yummy

I did a little melted choc experiment on this one and let it set. It worked!
I'll definitely be using this method again.

It's our 1st Birthday!!!

On the 15th of August we completed a year. To celebrate I've been giving out 10% off on all orders purchased within this month. Its a small gesture to all our clients to say 'Thank you for supporting us and bringing us this far!'

My daughter turned 5 and son 2 this month too. And they both love Disney Cars so thought we'd give them just what they want.

Right..! this was a 2 in 1 cake again for my children. This year we travelled to Disneyland Paris to celebrate their birthdays and so did this cake :)

The other side of the cake for my son. Did I forget to mention... We had a superb time!!!

This one was for a girl who turned 7 and her favourite colour happens to be PINK! I added a few more colours so it looked really colourful and cheerful!

Daddy's Day

Well.... this year I had no idea what I'd make my husband on father's day. Simply ran out of ideas or probably  my head  didnt want to work. So as he sat one evening watching a movie with a beer i thought that would be the best idea and came up with the floating beer cake. Surely this is not an original idea. I've seen this kind of cake on the internet... and it does leave people guessing 'HOW?'

Oh yeah!!! U probably noticed the Audi keys lying there lol. Something he always dreams of... having an Audi R8....

My Little girl said she loved the 'bubbles' and wants them on her  'milkshake cake' in Pink! when she is 9 ....( she's 4 now) thats a lot of future thinking ;)

This one was for my Dad. If ur thinking its too plain.... its not. Its the best tasting cake ever. My Dad isnt too fond of buttercream or any other icing. So I made him a Pandan Chiffon Cake. This is a Malaysian recipe and the texture is really soft. Similar to Angel food cake. It sort of melts in ur mouth and trust me one slice is not enough!
