It had to be Frozen again....

 My daughter has never been able to decide what cake she wants on her birthday. Its always changing from this to that. Luckily this year she stuck to Frozen. Thank goodness I thought. But it wasn't over yet. Then came in the sketches...'no not this one, nope not that either' and it went on and on... So when I ran out of time and ideas this one had to do.
The idea was taken from a scene in the movie where Anna first meets Olaf in a place full of sparkling icicles on trees. Well she liked it in the end though.
My son too shares the same birthday month as my daughter. Different dates though. He wasn't too fussy. Never has been. We made him a Lego Cake because he's crazy about constructing and yes destroying Lego blocks.

Barbie with a twist

Ever since William Tan came up with the idea of a completely different Barbie cake design all the cake decorators want to try it. It was such an inspiration and I was amongst them I have to admit.. I really really....I mean REALLY wanted to give it a go. And NO I did not use the tutorial as a lot of you have asked me already.
 I thought I'd change the colours of the dress and use two colours to make it more dramatic. A cake decorator had also mentioned in one of the comments saying that, 'I love the drama in her dress' So it worked I thought! :D

It's Frozen!

Dont you just love Disney Frozen. We watched it when it first came out in the cinemas. Before it was out I thought what's all the fuss about this movie and I didn't know until I actually saw it. Everything from the story to the characters to the songs its all something you want to watch and never forget. My daughter has memorized every dialogue and song from that movie. Aaanndddd... me on the other hand did what every cake decorator has in mind! MAKE THE CAKE! This was also a first time at trying proper figures. I wasnt entirely happy but just satisfied a bit knowing that I could actually make one if I attempted.
